Welcome Autumn!

Keri loves this time of year! Perhaps, because it draws to a close a season she so much dislikes. Maybe because it's a time of year that along with it's seasonal changes brings tons of holiday fun. Maybe a bit of both. Check out the doll in the picture below. One of a collection of crocheted dolls and homespun decor (including turkey above) passed on to Keri by Neal's maternal grandmother. It's suppose to be a pilgrim for Thanksgiving but Neal and Keri find it more befitting Halloween. Spooky pale face, staring eyes. Very Salem, Massachusetts, circa 1692. We straightened out the arms to give it an even more "zombie" look.
Sophie is totally into the Jack-o-latern bit. She's been coloring Halloween pictures of them and can almost say it clearly. She also has been playing her Wee Sing Halloween CD. When Keri put the CD in and started playing it, she explained that it was Halloween songs and that on Halloween Sophie could wear her Winnie the Pooh costume. Sophie now calls the first song on the CD her "Pooh Bear Song" though it never mentions the cute fellow.
