Sophie and Rhys Quirks

Neal came home with a miniature pumpkin for Sophie who was more than delighted to have it. She loves the pumpkin. She rolls the pumpkin. She wants to show her friends the pumpkin by shoving it in their faces. She wants the pumpkin to come into the bathroom to "watch" her use the potty. She takes the pumpkin to bed with her.

When Keri was in grade school she occasionally went to a babysitter that would fix up Keri in punk style make-up and then let her dance and jump on their mini trampoline like a crazy girl to the Go Gos. It was the early 80s and SO much fun! Now Keri gets to enjoy playing music and watching Sophie jump and dance around with her eyes all lit up. She can really shake it!

Many of you know that Sophie is recently potty trained. So this paragraph has to do with a bit of potty talk. If you don't like that, skip it. Sophie will do #2 in the toilet, often identifying if there was a "plash" (splash) as it landed, wipe, hop off, turn around and have a look. If it didn't make it in one long piece, she describes it as "broken."

Rhys' favorite things right now are chewing on this thumb with fingers spread wide. He also likes to grasp his hands in front of his face and stare at them with fascination. He can sit in his bouncer and literally bounce, almost violently, until the metal rods on the bottom are bowing and tapping the table. This gives him great satisfaction.
