Guy Time, Girl Time

With Rhys nearly 4 years old, Neal felt the two were ready for their first Father-Son Campout. So after a quick haircut and packing up what's left of his blanket, the handsome men in our family were off to enjoy the outdoors.

Rhys enjoyed hot dogs, s'mores, and running around with friends and getting his shoes muddy.  They "slept" in the minivan and woke up to a pancake and cookie breakfast.
While the men were away, Keri and Sophie decided to plan a Mommy-Daughter Date filled with all of Sophie's preferred activities.  After school they went to the park, came home and did a mini mani-/pedi- on Sophie's nails, and headed out again.

We stepped into a pet store and took our time looking at all the animals and then headed out to Cici's Pizza to carb-up. Then home again for a viewing of superhero cartoons--which Mom, as hard as she tried, could not stay awake for.  Then off to the church building "to go do some good!" as our family likes to say, as part of a cleaning team to prepare the building for the next day's blood drive.  Following, we arrived home to enjoy some ice cream and sing Sophie to sleep.

Great individualized time together!
