Not So Cool

Many may know we recently had a new dishwasher put in but we were not planning on our fridge to relinquish its short life.  We spent a couple days with trying to get repairmen in and then attempting to bring it back from the dead which only lasted a couple hours.  We were off to Sears Outlet to get a very nice fridge for half off.

Thank goodness for friends and family that are always there when you need them.  We were making short and sweet calls to arrange for our food to be stored at friends houses which was done in an hour and later when we got the new fridge, Carter and Rudy stepped up right away for a not so easy job of transporting the fridge, unloading it, and getting it set up. Thanks to their wives as well, for giving them up for the evening.

First we had to get the old one out which took a good bit of maneuvering and only one door removal.
Getting the new one in took a bit more.  They had to remove the doors handles off the fridge and move the kitchen island a few inches and Wha-la! it was in.  Okay, it wasn't just wha-la! but there was a good amount of grunting, lifting, pushing, and pulling.  Just look at those manly men!
Only one scratch on our already sad wood floors.  Not too bad.  It was a close fit. If you open the pantry door there is only 1/4 inch between the lock on the pantry door and the corner of the fridge.  And we love our new larger fridge.  Thanks for all the help!

Here's hoping our oven holds...
