Bobcat

Rhys advanced to Bobcat today. The mom gets to participate in the ceremony of symbolic face painting and receiving a pin. This is supposedly because the scout progresses because of his mother's nurturing, encouragement and involvement. Which makes me think the scout leaders should be participating because I honestly did nothing and have no idea what this is all about yet. Definitely a learning curve for a parent who's had no exposure to scouts her whole life. But congratulations to Rhys and his leaders for their hard work!
