Keri's mom has been in town and the first week we did a lot of shopping, cooking, and visiting. The second week we decided to get out a bit more. We started at the Heard Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary. We took a trail we had never taken before. There were wildflowers, ladybugs, and butterflies everywhere. We saw Canadian geese, turtles, fish, and Sophie's new favorite: rolly pollies--also known as a pill bug or woodlouse.

We went 2 1/2 miles and the kids held up very good for that distance.
We spent the afternoon mowing, edging, weed whacking, and sweeping. Thanks to Grandma J for giving everyone a well deserved break when the ice cream truck came by.
