Sophie had her first opportunity to speak in the children's primary at church this past Sunday. She was chosen to prepare and share a scripture focusing on the theme, "Jesus is my Savior and Redeemer." She did great! She marched right up to the podium, spoke into the microphone, and recited from memory Articles of Faith 1:3:
"We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel."
Quite a mouthful for a three-year-old! She only needed a quiet prompt of "We" to get her rolling. Sophie did beautifully!
Rhys is also enjoying the gift of gab. A reminder that he started speech-therapy, about 2 months ago with only 3 consonant sounds. He is now approximating the words baby, bye-bye, dada, kitty, more, milk, TV, juice, Opa (Dutch for grandpa), and mama. Rhys is working to shake his head "no" rather than throw a fit to decline or reject. He is working very hard and we are so happy it is paying off.

So glad the speech therapy is working! I started Kimmy in private speech a few months ago and it has worked wonders.
