Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing women that teach us and love us, especially our own mothers. We're biased but we think you did a terrific job, just look at how we turned out!
Keri was very pleased that Mother's Day was not much different than any other day because Neal already does a extraordinary job of taking good care of her and the family. She did appreciate the gifts he got her--a new swimsuit for her slimmer body and a stretching DVD she's had her eye on. Thanks also to our loved ones for their thoughtful gifts and cards.
At church the primary children, ages 3-11, sang two songs for all present. Sophie was waving her hands at Keri and Neal and saying "Hi, Mommy!" in her usual loud voice until the music got started. Also, in the program there was a special insert with the children's Mother's Day tribute. When asked, "What's your mom's favorite thing to do?", Sophie replied, "Drive us places, to far away places, like the mall." They have a play area there that she likes. It's 9 miles, 15 minutes away. That's just the kind of amazing mom she is.
We have terrific news to share on this Mother's Day! Our friends, Carter and Kari, adopted a little girl, making Kenzie a big sister once and for all. We are so excited for them as they have endured a lot of trails and they and this baby deserve each other's love. Congratulations!
