We are so grateful to belong to a church that receives revelation from a living prophet, just as in times of old. With the new age changes for youth, Sophie has been swept up into the young women's program and thus, as she lives worthily, is able to attend the temple at the tender age of 11!
Neal and I had been planning use the 6 months before her birthday, to take Sophie to the temple grounds monthly to share our feelings and knowledge of the temple and to help start a habit of temple attendance. Well, those plans evaporated when the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that those turning 12 in the calendar year would be able to attend The Church's youth programs effective January 2019. That meant Sophie!
We have felt the privilege and been a happy to accompany her to her interview with the bishop and to her first experience entering the temple at the beginning of January. The temple president spoke with her individually and also another brother serving there shared a beautiful testimony with us. She since has been able to attend with the youth group and has monthly plans to invite friends to go with her on a Saturday morning. I love her enthusiasm and joy she shares as she feels the Holy Ghost teaching her.

Acknowledgement
Sophie was recognized for her efforts in Music. She joined the 6th grade choir and has been fine tuning her pipes since her smile is already perfect!

Hockey
Because of some changes in their sponsorship, Neal's work doesn't get as many hockey tickets as often anymore so we were happy to score these. We always enjoy a good game, especially while it's raining outside. Good times at the Allen Americans game.

Rhys and Lady
This
is Rhys' superpower. Lady is the sweetest cat but she hates to be held
and will jump away from you as soon as possible. The only exception to
this is Rhys. He can pick her up and hold her and carry her around and
she lets him do it, no claws, no meowing, no trying to get away.
